A movie about the first man to walk on the moon is looking good.
We all know the history: Neil Armstrong walked on the moon and planted a flag during the harrowing Apollo 11 mission. But what about Armstrong the man? We get a better idea thanks to “First Man.” The movie shows what life was like for Armstrong and his wife as he prepared for the dangerous mission.
Claire Foy portrays Janet Armstrong while Ryan Gosling tackles the astronaut himself. At CinemaCon, Gosling called the Apollo 11 mission the “most astonishing journey in history.” Foy added that this story is also about the “unsung heroes who gave their support to this almost impossible voyage.”
“First Man” hits theaters October 12.
