Halsey Uses “Saturday Night Live” To Call Out G-Eazy For Cheating

Halsey was the host and musical guest on this weekend’s “Saturday Night Live,” and it appears she used her position to reveal that her ex G-Eazy cheated on her.

While Halsey, whose real name is Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, performed a stripped down version of “Without Me,” the walls around her revealed a bunch of writing, with the most noticeable being, “Sorry Ashley I Cheated.”

She later took to Twitter to discuss her motives behind the performance, noting, “as an artist, I have a privilege to remain honest and write about what’s true to me. as a woman, I have a responsibility to not allow myself to be silenced by someone who has done me wrong,” adding, “my truth will always come through in my art. death over silence, yo.”

As for her second performance, Halsey performed “Eastside,” and actually painted on a canvas while she performed. “I painted on SNL bc it’s my favorite artistic medium 2nd only to music,” she later shared. “I wish I could have done more with the 3 minutes I had.”  She also added that drawing the painting, “takes the cake for biggest “dumb ass shit I took onto my plate for no mf reason (bc I thought it was cool) that actually worked out considerably well.”-type moment of my life.”

  • As for her hosting duties, Halsey took part in several sketches, as well as pre-taped music video for “Valentine’s Song,” about all the people who ruin the romantic mood on the holiday.
